Our Patriot’s Journey

From Jacksonville, NC to a Pittsburg Steelers Game!

I wish to tell you that I am very sorry for your loss.  I  have served in the military for 27 years and have seen and experienced a great deal of loss and know that words are little compared to the grief you have felt.  I hope that as time goes on, the pain lessens.

I took Robert's picture with me to my hometown of Pittsburgh PA and shared him with some of my family.  He went with us to the Steelers vs Ravens game on January 15th.  The Steelers were losing the game 24-3 at half time.  My niece Katie, took out Robert’s photo and asked him for a little help.  The Steelers came back after halftime and looked like a different team.  They ended up winning 31-24.  I've got a feeling Robert may have put in a good word for us with the "Big Man".  I gave Robert's picture to my niece and she is planning on taking him someplace special as well.

I am glad that I got a chance to share this story with you and to take part in Robert's travels. God Bless.
