Our Patriot’s Journey

Sent Sunday, September 13, 2009:

Hi,

I am from Chicago. I helped run the Chicago. Tea Party "March Against the Healthcare Bill" today on Michigan Ave. During the event we had a woman come to us and ask to speak to the crowd. She showed us the card of your son and explained how her and her daughter found it this summer at Mt Rushmore.

She saw the crowd and all the flags and decided she wanted to leave the card at Millennium Park where we were. We let her tell her story and read the card out loud to the crowd. She cried while reading it, but did a wonderful job. I wasn't sure if she was going to email you so I thought I would.... I am also sending you four photos, two of the woman holding the card.

I was moved by your son's story and I don't think I will ever forget that moment the card was read to us.

God bless your son and your family.

NOTE:   Many months later, in April of 2010, another of Robert’s cards made its way to Chicago ..... and this one was left in a place near and dear to thousands of sports fans across the country.
