From Atlanta ...... to Lake Bolam in England

Two Sons Remembered

We recently visited the Atlanta Botanical Gardens with some friends who live in Atlanta and found the photograph of your son Robert.  We have brought it back home to England with us.  We live in Ponteland, Northumberland which is a village in the north-east of England.  We plan to take the photograph to a place very special to us, which is Bolam Lake, not far from where we live.  The reason this place is very special to us is because we lost our 26 year old son, David, aged 26, in September 1996.  David died suddenly and unexpectedly from a previously undetected heart problem.  We had 26 oak trees planted around Bolam Lake in memory of David, so you can see how this place is special to us.  It is a beautiful place and you could possibly see it on the Northumberland County Council web site.

We are so sorry to hear about your son Robert and think it is a lovely idea of you placing his photograph in special places.

With our very best wishes
