Our Patriot’s Journey

Found on a trail in Jasper National Park ...

Hi Brian and Mary,

I found Robert's card on a trail in Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I was on an overnight camping trip with a friend and we found him in a beautiful mountain meadow. I've included photos of his view - the Columbia Icefields, some alpine flowers, and mother and baby mountain goat on the highway shortly after we picked him up.

We were absolutely charmed by Robert's smile and heartbroken for those he left behind.  I am deeply sorry for your loss and so very thankful to be lucky enough to be a part of this wonderful journey. It may be a while before I can get him to my special place, so for now he lives on the refrigerator in an apartment in Canmore, Alberta that is shared by myself and my boyfriend (we have an amazing view). Robert will enjoy our friends and many BBQs this summer with us and I'll send you updates from the field as I take him on some of my adventures in the Rocky Mountains.

Thank you.

Kat
